duration: 62 min

🎬 the film brings the stories of seven LGBTIQ people from Kosovo who come from different generations and different social contexts.

through their real voices, names and faces, the film talks about discovering one’s own queer identity and living in an environment marked by non-acceptance and exclusion. deals with their hopes and dreams, losses and defeats, as well as the issue of home and belonging.

the film is the first feature-length documentary in Kosovo in which the protagonists are not anonymized, but speak openly about their experiences. shows a culture of resilience built through mutual solidarity and closeness, as well as social changes from the period before the wars of the 1990s to the first Pride Parade in 2017. in the context of frequent claims that the LGBTQ identity is an “import from the West”, the film contributes to breaking down prejudices and opening up space for understanding and compassion for the experiences of LGBTQ people. 🏳️‍🌈
